Ethiopia has long been known as the “birthplace” of coffee and has a history for producing high quality coffees. 90% of the country’s production is from farmers growing in small gardens in their yard or harvesting from cultivated and managed forests containing coffee trees. Given the low-tech nature of production in the country, the amazing coffees that emerge (like this one) are astounding.
