Ulya Mill, Waghi Valley Papua New Guinea 12oz


Papua New Guinea started producing coffee in the 1920s, with seeds brought over from Jamaica. At first most coffee was grown on plantations, but now the majority of coffee in PNG comes from individuals growing coffee in their gardens. This lot comes from a group of small-holding farmers who live off their land, growing food for their families and selling the small amounts of coffee they grow to Ulya mill as a cash crop. Even so, we continue to see the quality of coffees coming out of Papua New Guinea grow and this particular lot is a great example of what to look for in excellent PNG coffees.

You’ll taste plum, cherry, juicy apple and a meaty, savory finish.
